Four RBI Day For Thompkins Seals The Deal In MAYHEM 8U's Victory Over Sharks Baseball Academy


Four runs batted in from ANGEL T helped lead Merrick MAYHEM 8U past Sharks Baseball Academy 22-9 on Tuesday. ANGEL drove in runs on a single in the second and a single in the fifth.

Merrick MAYHEM 8U earned the victory despite allowing Sharks Baseball Academy to score five runs in the second inning. Baldassane, Wehle, Yons, Lans, and Lennon all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.


Merrick MAYHEM 8U opened up scoring in the first inning, when BRODY G tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.


Merrick MAYHEM 8U put up seven runs in the fifth inning. Merrick MAYHEM 8U put the pressure on, lead by singles by ANGEL and BRODY, a home run by GAVIN B, and a double by JACK B.


RYAN O was the winning pitcher for Merrick MAYHEM 8U. The righthander allowed one hit and two runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one. BRODY, CJ A, and ANGEL all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. CJ recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Merrick MAYHEM 8U.


Wehle took the loss for Sharks Baseball Academy. The hurler went two innings, allowing 11 runs on eight hits and striking out four.


Cannone started the game for Sharks Baseball Academy. The pitcher surrendered four runs on two hits over one inning, striking out one GAVIN started the game for Merrick MAYHEM 8U. GAVIN allowed two hits and four runs over one and one-third innings, striking out four

Merrick MAYHEM 8U smacked two home run on the day. GAVIN went for the long ball in the fourth and fifth innings.


Merrick MAYHEM 8U collected 16 hits on the day. ANGEL, MICHAEL D, BRODY, CJ, JACK, and GAVIN all collected multiple hits for Merrick MAYHEM 8U. BRODY, MICHAEL, and ANGEL all had three hits to lead Merrick MAYHEM 8U. Merrick MAYHEM 8U didn't commit a single error in the field. JACK had the most chances in the field with seven. ANGEL led Merrick MAYHEM 8U with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.


Baldassane led Sharks Baseball Academy with three hits in three at bats. Sharks Baseball Academy stole 13 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Lai led the way with three. Sharks Baseball Academy was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Baldassane had the most chances in the field with eight.
