Late Score Costs MAYHEM 10U Against Sharks Academy


MERRICK MAYHEM 10U lost the lead late in a 12-7 defeat to Sharks Academy-Blue on Friday. The game was tied at six with Sharks Academy-Blue batting in the top of the fourth when Sharks Academy-Blue scored two runs on a stolen base.


MERRICK MAYHEM 10U collected four hits and Sharks Academy-Blue had ten in the high-scoring affair.

Sharks Academy-Blue got things moving in the first inning. Sharks Academy-Blue scored one run when #8 singled.

After Sharks Academy-Blue scored one run in the top of the sixth, MERRICK MAYHEM 10Uanswered with one of their own. Sharks Academy-Blue scored when an error scored one run for Sharks Academy-Blue. MERRICK MAYHEM 10U then answered when NOAH W singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Sharks Academy-Blue took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Sharks Academy-Blue, #8 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and #27 singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

MERRICK MAYHEM 10U scored four runs in the third inning. MERRICK MAYHEM 10U's big bats in the inning were led by walks by DYLAN R and MAX H and an error on a ball put in play by BRYCE F.


#6 led the Sharks Academy-Blue to victory on the pitcher's mound. The ace surrendered two runs on one hit over two innings, striking out three. #27 and #3 entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.


NOAH took the loss for MERRICK MAYHEM 10U. NOAH went three and a third innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out five.


TRISTAN C led MERRICK MAYHEM 10U with two hits in two at bats. MERRICK MAYHEM 10U tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. LOGAN M led the way with three.

Sharks Academy-Blue collected ten hits on the day. #8, #27, and #7 each managed multiple hits for Sharks Academy-Blue. #8 went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Sharks Academy-Blue in hits. Sharks Academy-Blue stole 12 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. #23 led the way with three.
