MAYHEM 8U Overcomes Farmingdale Greendogs In Face Of Early 3-Run Inning

Merrick MAYHEM 8U claimed a 12-4 victory on Sunday, despite a big push by Farmingdale Greendogs in the second inning. Cutolo, Pena, and Kapelonis each drove in runs during the inning.

Merrick MAYHEM 8U got things started in the first inning when MICHAEL D homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Merrick MAYHEM 8U notched five runs in the second inning. MICHAEL, ANGEL T, and RYAN O powered the big inning with RBIs.

CJ A was credited with the victory for Merrick MAYHEM 8U. The righthander allowed zero hits and three runs over two innings, striking out four. ANGEL and MASON S entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. ANGEL recorded the last eight outs to earn the save for Merrick MAYHEM 8U.

Russo took the loss for Farmingdale Greendogs. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs on seven hits and striking out one.

Merrick MAYHEM 8U smacked two home runs on the day. MICHAEL had a four bagger in the first inning. ANGEL went deep in the second inning.

RYAN had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Cimino led Farmingdale Greendogs with one hit in two at bats. Farmingdale Greendogs was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Pena made the most plays with seven.
