MERRICK MAYHEM 10U knocked in five runs in the third on its way to a 9-3 victory over Storm Select on Tuesday. ANTHONY P, KURT R, TOMMY T, and BRADY K each had RBIs in the frame.
Storm Select fired up the offense in the first inning, when #12 hit a solo homer.
MERRICK MAYHEM 10U evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning. MERRICK MAYHEM 10U scored one run when SPENCER B doubled.
MERRICK MAYHEM 10U pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second BRADY singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and ETHAN M tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
MERRICK MAYHEM 10U notched five runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by MERRICK MAYHEM 10U was led by ANTHONY, KURT, TOMMY, and BRADY, who each had RBIs in the inning.
ZACK B toed the rubber for MERRICK MAYHEM 10U. The lefthander surrendered one run on two hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.
#1 was on the pitcher's mound for Storm Select. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing five hits and four runs. #12 and #27 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
